We are pleased to announce that after being sought for this prestigious position and undergoing some of the most rigorous checks and interviews to ensure depth of knowledge, credibility and contribution to the sector, Stephen Jones was appointed to the National Board of the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association – EISA.
EISA supports and promotes policies and initiatives that facilitate the smooth flow of risk equity capital from private individuals to smaller companies thereby benefiting the UK economy. This is achieved through;
- Protecting the interests of our members so they can continue to operate in an environment that is conducive to the growth and support of SEIS/EIS
- Promoting and raising awareness of SEIS/EIS to small businesses and financial advisers as well as to MPs, the media and the general public.
- Positioning SEIS/EIS as a trusted source of funding. We seek to demonstrate the impact and value that SEIS/EIS funding continues to have acting as a significant contributor to UK economic growth and job creation
EISA membership represents all areas of the EIS/SEIS industry including EIS/SEIS Fund Managers, Lawyers, Accountants, Tax Advisers, Corporate Financiers, Financial Planners and Wealth Managers, throughout the UK.
Stephen is seen within this Sector as not only a very experienced and knowledgeable practitioner, but also as someone who is innovative and on the leading edge of development to enhance and grow this sector and it was for these reasons that his skills and knowledge were so keenly sought by EISA and the offer to serve on the Main Board was extended.
Stephen was not only appointed to the Main Board but also asked to serve on the Research, Education and Marketing Committee.
